Park City

The last day. It is pouring rain and we are huddled under the umbrella

Austin hated this ride, even with dad in the rocket. One time around the track and he was done. That was the best 4.00 we have spent.

But he loved this one. He wouldn't get off, so we pulled him off screaming.

Our little frogs. They could really cruise around the pool with those fins.

Playing in the hot tub. There were 6 to chose from.

How cute is this?
We had such a fun time in Park City. It was so fun hanging out with my family, sitting by the pool, and eating Carmel apples. It wasn't Laguna Beach, but still a really fun time.

Good bye my old Friend

Tex 1991-2008

Tex, my old friend, passed away yesterday. At 17 years of age,

he definitely had a good run at life. I watched his birth back when I was in elementary school, and 17 years later, and 10 years after I have graduated high school I was there to say goodbye in the end. Tex was a regular Houdini. We could NEVER keep that dog in. My dad would go out to the kennel for hours fixing every hole only a mouse could fit through. By the time he walked in the house, claimed that "he got his this time", Tex would be whimpering at the door. He could jump anything, and climb like you wouldn't believe! But for all his quirks, he was so much fun and the nicest little dog. Max, my parents dog (you can see his picture at the bottom of my blog) was Tex's best friend. He was at his side every second, actually crying, and laying on him until he passed. We would cover his body with a blanket, and Max would pull the blanket off and lay on him. He would not leave his side even after Tex was gone. Max has been howling all morning, truly mourning his friend. It is right out of "Where the Red Fern grows" I love and believe the saying that say, "Be the Person, your dog thinks you are"
We will miss you old boy!

Don't Blink

My tiny newborn......wasn't this just yesterday??

Blowing out the candles on his third birthday..third? Are you kidding me?

The "Fish" cake. I let Austin pick what he wanted on his cake this year, plastic overload. This is all he wanted and talked about for days.

He loved his presents!

I just can not believe my little boy is 3. The Kenny Chesney song couldn't be more accurate. Don't blink. I swear just yesterday he was still in diapers......wait he still is in diapers (any advice on that one?) , OK that he was still drinking formula, and we were enticing him to roll over and crawl. How time flies Now he is always running, usually away from me. He keeps me some what in shape. Instead of cooing, he is giving me goo, instead of decorating his room in cute little bugs, he is handing me handfuls of real not so cute bugs.
I absolutely love this little boy, and until I had him, I had no idea there was a capacity that big for love. HAPPY BIRTHDAY my BIG boy! WE LOVE YOU!

In loving memory...Jeep 2005

The impound lot
They took the back seat, tire, carpet, my tires and rims (replaced with their crappy ones.)

Carpet, air conditioner, doors, radio etc....

Of coarse they had to break out the windshield.

It was 3 years ago this week that my beloved Jeep was stolen from in front of my parents house. We were living there at the time, and I was 9 months pregnant. I remember I woke up, and waddled my way up the stairs to take my usual perch on the front couch. I looked out the window and noticed that my Jeep was gone. Thinking that my dad must have taken it for a ride, I wasn't too worried......then I heard him in the garage. I opened the door and said, "If you are here, then my Jeep has been stolen.
We went through the normal routine when something like this happens, called the police and became obsessed with looking for it. Every where we went I was looking. Anyway a week later I had Austin, 2 1/2 weeks early. I blame, and thank the stress from the Jeep on his early appearance.
Months later I got the call from the police asking if I owned a 1995 Jeep Wrangler, and telling me it had been found in none other then West Valley City. Bet you arent surprised. I wasn't either.
So this is how they found her. Demolished, beaten, broken down and left to fend for herself. Sooooo sad. I couldn't look at these pictures for months. I wanted to remember her the way she was. Good news though, we got a great pay off from the insurance company.

Remember me??

Got this tag from my friend, and thought it sounded fun. I left a comment on hers so now it is on to #2 so here you go......

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, forever or for just a short time. Anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

3. If you can't say anything nice, don't comment. If you do, I'll delete it OR point out what a jerk you are!

OK those are the rules.......Tag you are it!

One of those days......

Have you ever had just one of those days where you would really rather be doing anything else besides what you are doing?? I am having one of those days. It all started this morning, when Austin asked for his "baby" scissors. You know the ones that come with a sewing kit, and the little orange handled ones we used in elementary school? So being the nice mother that I am, I let him play with them. Then I decided to go out and weed the flower beds. he brought his little scissor collection out with him and was sitting on the porch clipping away an old newspaper ad and I started on the weeds.

I was so in the groove, when it finally registered in my head the snap, snap, snap.....so I looked up and Austin was hacking away at my 4'O clocks. He had quite a nice pile going. So I told him he couldn't cut my flowers and pointed out some weeds he could feel free to whack away at. So back to my weeding. I look up again, and he is pruning my $150.00 tree. He is not a trained pruner, so of coarse i had to get after him again, this time by taking the scissors away.

I decided that it was definatly time to go in, where he sat at the table and wanted to "cut cut" again. Why did I give him back the scissors you may ask, I could not tell you the answer. Maybe I am losing my mind, probably. But I did, and he decided to see if he could cut the top of his new sippy cup off, yep he can. He can also scratch "A's" into the wood on my table. Then I caught him tiring to cut his shirt, and at that point I did take the scissors away, and he wont be getting them back for a while. But the fun doesn't stop there......

He wanted his red juice. That would be red fruit punch koolade. So I got him some in a new sippy cup, where he decided to see if he could pull the top off of that. Yep, he can and spilled red juice all the way down my newly re carpeted stairs. That was fun. Spot shot to the rescue.

Took him to the store where he ran away from me the whole time, when he told me he would hold my hand, (last time I believe a almost 3 year old. fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.) Then hit me in the face with a shark. (not the first time that has happened). So we left, me caring him in a death grip, sweating as he tries to wiggle free, and him screaming, looking like I am kidnapping him.

Ahhh the joys of motherhood. I am just grateful for nap time.......bless his little heart.

Total of things cut today:

1 small tree
1 bush of 4'0 clocks (flowers)
1 new sippy cup
lots of newspaper
part of my table (look mom an "A") scratched that nicely
and almost his shirt

OK

10 reasons I absolutely love my Austin (no particular order)

1. He has huge dimples
2. He is so out going makes friends with everyone he meets
3. I yuv you mommy (enough said)
4. He welcomes everyone into our house "come'n in" (come on in)
5. He shakes hands with everyone and tells them "nice to see you"
6. He loves to give "big hugs"
7. He adores his dad and as soon as he is home he is his perminate side kick
8. until just recently everything that ends with an "N" was a "Y" (Talie Talin, Landie Landon, Masie Mason, Austie Austin)
9. He loves animals (where did he get that from I wonder :)
10. He says the most sweetest prayers ever, blessing everyone and everything he did that day, including the holes he dug with his friend mason, and their shovels.

I am so thankful for him, even on days like these. I wouldn't give being a mother up for ANYTHING in the world.

4th of July, The Lake and the Cabin

Cheese! Austin looking extra sweet!

Just fishing on this log, this was a fun day.

Landon being crazy. Don't they warn you about this on the package to prevent this exact thing?? Ahh boys..

More scalding hot wire to fling around. Sparklers are so much fun!

Kicking back in deep thought at the cabin, or maybe just filling his diaper??

Robby and his best friend Hudson, he loved to ride around on the 4-wheelers!

Playing with dad on the tree swing at the cabin.
We had a really fun weekend, full of Family, sun and late nights. What could be better??
Happy 4th of July!
