A cool ambulance. I hope this is the only time Austin rides in one!

Look'n for more trout
We had a very busy but fun Saturday. It started with a trip up the Canyon to our very own celebrity hot spot for the Children's festival. It was really hot, and pretty lame. The reptile show was the highlight and would have been better had the Steve Erwin want to be toned it down a little. I mean seriously, what kid wants to hear for five min. what a monitor lizard eats. He was a little too descriptive, using words like Maggot filled corpse, flesh like pudding, swarming with bacteria, and so on. We didn't even see the end, as the dude wouldn't shut up and finish the dang show. By the time we left we all had sweet sweaty pits, tacos as I have heard them called, and really bad hay fever.
Then it was on to my Grandma Matthews 80th birthday party. More the same, sweaty pits, sun, delicious strawberries and cream, and a whole lot of family that I have missed and haven't seen in a long time. Happy Birthday Grandma!
Then we went to Summer Fest (after another stop to Andrea's for Pizza) That was the highlight of the day. I seriously don't know where all those people come from. I swear they hear the word carnival, and everyone with Mullets, missing teeth, tattoos, and tank tops swarm. It was a sea of white trash. (what does that say about us.......hummm) but after about 100 glow sticks, some rad fireworks, a lot of cigarette smoke, and the Delicious smells of cotton candy, snow cones, hot dogs, and other equally bad, but Delicious things, it was time to call it a night. All and all a fun and event full weekend.
