This is our recent discovery. This cute little fishing hole is 5 min. from our house. They stock it with fish, and we have the secret bait, that keeps em' biting, long after you are ready to go home. This trip we managed to catch 8. That is in a 30 min. period! The other day we went with my sister and her kids, and the total for that day was around 20. Austin loves it, he gets to reel all the fish in, and throw them back once they have been de-hooked. There are also lots of ducks to feed, and acorns to pick up. What a treat!

The zoo, and a cookie recipe!
So I don't have any pictures to blog (thanks to my mommy pregnant brain, forgot my camera) but we have had a fun past week. My sister Jodi was in town, so we have spent a lot of time hanging out. On Monday, we, my cute sisters, nieces, and nephews and mom went up to the zoo. It was an absolutely PERFECT day for the zoo. It was sunny, but not hot, not crowded at all, and all the animals were eager to show themselves off. We saw animals that the zoo claimed to have in those cages, but had never actually seen. For example the Gray Wolf, the Cheetah, the Tiger, and the Mountain Lions. The Rhinos came right up to the glass to say hello, and so did the Gorilla's and Orangutan. It was fun and we could not have asked for a better day.
On a completely different note......My mom gave me this recipe for the easiest pumpkin cookies ever, and they are absolutely delicious!
1 Spice cake mix
1 15 oz can of 100% pure pumpkin
Chocolate chips (as much as you want)
Mix together
spoon onto greased cookie sheet
bake @350 degrees for 10-12 min
That is it. Try them out, you will be glad you did!

The thoughts of a 3 year old.....
Me: Austin if you try a piece of this steak, I will make you baby cookies. (refrigerated cookie dough)
Austin: (looking at the meat) ummm, no thank you.
At this point you can tell he is thinking about it.
Austin:OK I will taste that. (pointing to my rice)
I give him a tiny bite
Austin: OK! Make baby cookies
Me: No, you have to taste the meat.
Austin: OK. (so i give him a tiny, tiny piece. He eats it and with his hands in the air says.....
Austin : I TASTED THE COW OWEEE!!! MAKE BABY COOKIES!
I told Ryan, "no wonder he didn't want to taste it, I think that is the sickest description of steak I have heard of!"
The other day Ryan was getting dressed for work, and Austin was sitting in talking to him. This is how the conversation went...
Austin: Dad, you going to work??
Dad: Yep, I have to go to work today.
Austin: To make the cheese for mom??
SO apparently Ryan works very hard, and instead of being paid money, he gets paid in cheese for me!
