Fall at Cascade Springs

Oh my gosh! Could this place be anymore beautiful? We had so much fun, being up in the beautiful mountain seeing all the absolutely gorgeous fall leaves. There is such a peaceful calming effect at Cascade Springs. I wish I could bottle it up, and bring it home. So much fun spending time with the three people I love the most.

Lava Hot Springs

We had SO much fun at Lava Hot Springs this year! Here's what we did..... bought lots of trinkets at this sa'weet store. Dragons, crystals, and incense galore.

My little Austin turned 6. We had such a fun day. We let him pick out what theme he wanted for his party this year, and, no surprise here, he picked fishing. What other 6 year old do you know that you can do a one stop shop for birthday gifts at Cabelas?

We let him choose what he wanted to do for his birthday day, and he picked having lunch at Texas Road House. No complaint here. Yummm. It was so fun and our waitress thought Austin was hilarious! He could hardly wait for them to bring out the saddle and sing, well, yell happy birthday to him! Later that night we had a fishing/swimming party. We had the kiddie pool full of hot water for the hot tub, and a big blow up water slide. The kids had a blast! What a fun night! Here are 6 things about my Austin for his 6th birthday.

1. He LOVES fishing. And collects lures. That is ALL he wanted for his birthday

2. He is super smart. In primary when they asked whats on your hands that we need to wash off so we don't get sick, kids yelled, "dirt, germs, bugs," and Austin yells "bacteria" what a hoot!

3. He learned how to ride his bike without training wheels this year! First try and he had it!

4. He is a soft hearted, loving little guy. loves his family, loves his sister.

5. He is so social. He thrives on company. You want to see him in a bad mood? make him hang out alone.

6. He still absolutely LOVES animals. He told me he is going to study sharks when he grows up (oh how I couldn't be happier about that) I told him he would have to move to the beach, he said he would miss us too much, I told him no you wont because when you move to the beach, we are coming with you!!

Happy Birthday my little Austin! We absolutely could not love you more! Keep that dimpled smile on your face, and your tenderness in your heart, and you'll never go wrong!
