My little Graduate

Austin Graduated from Preschool on Wednesday! It was a fun day! We started by giving him a graduation gift, and them letting him pick out whatever he wanted for lunch that day. He picked fish and chips. He loves fish. Then Grandma Burr came over and gave him another graduation gift, and came with us to the graduation. It was really cute and Austin was an absolute ham. He bowed repeatedly after every song, and he was that kid that sang louder then every other kid in the gym. We were laughing our heads off. When I wasn't laughing I was trying not to tear up. I didn't think it would make me so emotional. I just kept thinking that this door in his little life was closing, and kept thinking that we are going to blink and be at his High School Graduation.
While I am glad that summer is almost here (if it ever warms up and quits raining that is) and we get some fun times in the sun, I am going to miss this time in his life. Congrats my little Graduate! We are all so proud of you! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Fish on!

Ahhh love the light this time of day!

A little cold there at the endThe prized Albino trout!

LOVE these two!

The tiny guy
To say that Austin is obsessed with fishing, is an understatement. This boy lives and breaths fishing. All day, every day ALL he talks about is fish. The different kind, what he would do if he caught this kind or that kind. What lure he would use and how it looks when it is pulled through the water. To say that I am sick of hearing about fishing....is an understatement. So after several text to his dad PLEADING to please take him fishing, we finally had a good day and headed out to the pond. It was chilly but fun. We ended up catching two trout, Austin caught the winner with a pretty good sized albino trout. He was soooo excited that it was an albino he could hardly stand it! Lily was just happy to real in her line, she didn't even need a hook. But every time we cast it out and handed it her she kept saying over and over, "fish on!" If you have ever watched "River Monsters" on Animal Planet you would know where she gets it (that is what Jeremy Wade says when he has a fish on the line). It was hillarious. We hope, that soon we will have more good days then bad, (meaning sun over rain) and we will "fish on"!

Easter

Easter Egg hunt at Grandma Burrs

Easter Morning

Coloring Easter eggs

Dinosaur eggs! Easter was a blast this year! I love Easter. I love the smell of the candy, the colors, and the feeling of new life. Flowers poking their heads up out of the ground, blossoms on the leafless trees, the grass finally turning green, and all the new cute tiny little calves, sheep and chicks all around.
I loved being able to teach my primary class about the Resurrection, and the sacrifice that was made for all of us. To remember the true reason for the season.
