Homestead

Twins!

I ♥ The Homestead
Every year for our Anniversary Mr. Peay (I can call him that now that he's 30) and myself head up to the Homestead for a night. Well this year since it was our (gasp) 10 Year anniversary we splurged and stayed for 2. We had so much fun, swimming in the Crater, going to the Ice Castles and eating awesome food, that we decided to extend our stay and go get the kids and bring them up. We swam, hot tubed it, went to the Ice Castles (again), snuggled up and watched movies, saw a lot of beautiful sights and wildlife and ate loads of junk food!! Then on the way home got stuck behind an avalanche up Provo Canyon for 2 hours. I think it will be our new tradition! (Well maybe not the avalanche part.) ☺

Ice Castles

This place is absolutely beautiful! It it quite magical walking through here. It makes you feel like you are in the Arctic or walking through a glacier. Or in, well, an Ice Castle. definitely worth the trip up to Midway.

Mmmmmm......

Oh you wish you had one of these right now...

Happy Valentines Day everyone!
My mom makes the BEST sugar cookies ever. Yep, I know everyone says that, and everyone thinks that their sugar cookies are the best, and that it simply because you have never tried my moms. It is a good thing that she only makes them for Halloween and Valentines day or I would be wearing them in the form of about 30 extra pounds! Oh and the frosting....oh my it is sooo good. And I am not a frosting fan, but the more the better in this case!! Thanks mom for the deliciousness.

Bowling

Me, rolling yet another gutter ball!!

My sister and her two little buddies got to come play with us the last two weeks, and we got to do a lot of fun activities. Bowling and Laser tag being one of those. I, well lets just say am not the best bowler, in fact my radical score was a whopping 34. And before you start to laugh, keep in mind it was 16, until Austin finished the last couple frames for me. Yes..I rock. Austin's score 60. Apparently my skills lie else where, since in Laser Tag, I was the winner with the highest points on our team. Yeah baby! I may not be able to roll a ball down a lane straight, but I can take down my nieces and nephew's (and my older sista) in laser tag!! woot woot!

New Years PARTY

Banging pots and pans shouting HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Ringing in the New Year at 12:00 (well OK it was 9 but sshhhh..they don't know that)

Everybody DANCE! Notice Lily? She danced the WHOLE time! she was sweating and exhausted but just could help herself when she heard the beat!

nice, nice, looks like they are together.

Van was especially happy to be partying, Mia is wondering what he is so happy about?

This year at the last minute, I decided to have what family that didn't have any new year plans, over for a PARTY. We had a blast, eating fattening foods, and then dancing our booties off with help from the Wii. I never knew how much talent we had for dance in my family they can definitely shake it! Unfortunately all the little ones had to be in bed before the new year really hit, so we rang it in early and said goodnight and finished the rest of the night in our comfy bed with a good movie! I could hardly wait for midnight to hit so I could say goodbye to 2010 and mentally karate chop that suck'a out the door with an understanding to never return! What a perfect ending to a very imperfect year! Here's to 2011! I know you are going to be a good one!

Look! He found us!

Christmas day was so. much. fun. Austin woke up at 7:30, and we made him
wait until 8 for Lily who decided to sleep late, on Christmas day. They were sooo excited when they saw that Mr. Claus had made it to our house. It was so much fun to watch their little faces as they threw open the paper. After all the gifts were open, I made green and red pancakes for breakfast, then we headed on over to Grandma and Grandpa Burrs house. We had a blast there, feasting on my Grandma Matthews traditional Christmas day dinner, in memory of her, and Grandpa and Grandma spoiled the kids further by giving them a new trampoline. What a fun day we had spending the day with family, and traditions!

Christmas Eve (they are a little out of order)

The whole group

Can you imagine the excitement of this little girl getting her first night gown? She LOVES it!

Nothing better then a kitty for Lily Pie.

New Jammie's

A really loud gun for Austin.

Sneaking taste

We spent Christmas Eve at my sisters house, making Ginger bread houses, eating yummy food and the most exciting part...waiting for Twinkle the Elf to show up and drop off her early gifts. She does this yearly and the kids can hardly wait for that knock at the door. She didn't disappoint this year. She must be really fast, because no one caught her!
